Our view

The Alaskan legislature seems determined to define vapor products as tobacco for the purpose of taxation. This oversimplified regulatory approach has the potential to vastly limit consumer choice, and inherently prevents consumers from gathering accurate information about electronic cigarettes. This sort of reclassification sets the stage for further regulation that cannot currently be justified by long term peer reviewed scientific studies.
